These people must have been reading here at HA as we have been saying these things for some time now.

Conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh repeatedly criticized Romney on his radio show last week. "Romney is not a conservative," he said. "The Republican base doesn't want Romney." ...

If the Tea Party wants a candidate they can coalesce behind, AND win the White House, then they better talk to Huckabee very very quickly. Time is running out and the others just won't cut it.

Not only will conservative voters be dispirited about the presidency and not show up at the polls if Romney is the nominee, but their absence will mean that many good conservative candidates all the way up and down the tickets will lack the necessary votes to win. The whole conservative movement will suffer as it always does when the ticket is weak at the top.

Come on GOP elites and Tea Party leaders alike. If I can see this then surely you too can see this train wreak coming. (I'm writing this little editorial since its obvious they come here to get their ideas 8) )

Who can unify the supporters of Bachmann, Santorum, Cain, and possibly Perry? I think only Huckabee has that appeal. Who can beat Romney in a GOP primary? Well, there's one guy who's done it before....

This thought seed needs to be implanted in the conservative thinkers' heads.

On another note, I had kind of a fantasy scenario about how Huckabee could announce.

He could announce that he was going to make an endorsement on his show, and the leadup would be similar to his last announcement. On the show he would say,

"When making my decision on who to endorse, I was looking for a candidate who:

Has always been strongly pro-life and pro-marriage.
Was against TARP and the bailouts.
Has extensive executive experience
Who is against healthcare mandates
Who is not afraid to be a reformer, whether it's regarding taxes or entitlements...."
(and so on)

(then he could use the old Reagan trick)

(at this point all the the other candidates' staff simultaneously quit, forcing the collapse of all the campaigns. They bow out and endorse MH. )

Does anyone have a connection/contact information on the people behind the Tea Party? We need someone to contact them asap to state our case for Governor Huckabee. Time is indeed running out but it's not too late...

My nephew predicted that if Romney wins, it will be the end of conservativism. Interesting thought.

Is this the same Rush who was blaming Huckabee for being a spoiler - splitting the conservative vote & ruining Romney's chance to win in WV? Oops, we're not supposed to remember that, are we? :roll:
