Anybody watch it? Thoughts?
Yes, I did. I wish I had taken notes. It seems the Governor was saying that the Republicans had much to lose if they did not strike a deal of sorts with the Democrats in keeping the government open. The perception of people would be that we were not going to provide for their needs (the government checks for the military, Social Security, etc.) Huckabee seemed very serious, this appearance on Cavuto.
My husband and I did not like the idea that the vote to defund Planned Parenthood would not be signed by the President (as part of the deal.) But as Huckabee was explaining (and it made sense) that in trying to get all we want now, the Republicans could lose it all. If the only choice is all or nothing, you can end up with nothing. If we insist on "now or never," we can end up with never.
I have heard that there is no way the President will sign a bill to defund Planned Parenthood. He is in very deep with their lobby and has promised them that under no circumstances would he do that. We will have to try again. That is why we must have a change of administration. We cannot afford four more years of liberal socialism under Obama!!!
